The 2017 Emmy Awards descended into a three-hour long liberal roast of President Donald Trump on Sunday night, with host Stephen Colbert slamming the President within minutes and left-wing celebrities taking shots at the Commander-in-Chief throughout the evening.
The show opened with Colbert and other Hollywood liberals singing about world events, adding “Imagine if your president wasn’t loved by Nazis,” and taunting Donald Trump that he would never win an Emmy for his work on ‘The Apprentice.’
Alec Baldwin, infamous for his portrayal of the President on Saturday Night Live, used his acceptance speech to viciously attack Trump, calling the world leader effective “birth control.”
Next up was fellow SNL comedian Kate McKinnon –who portrayed Hillary Clinton throughout the 2016 general election- who took a moment to praise the doomed democratic nominee, thanking the former Secretary of State for her “grace and grit” after losing her bid for the White House.
‘Veep’ star Julia Louis-Dreyfus also used the award ceremony to smear the President, saying “We did have a whole story line about an impeachment but we abandoned that because we were worried that someone else might get to it first.”
